 At Cloudhawk aerial photography it is our aim to capture stunning aerial images taken to
our clients requirements. No other camera platform is able to achieve such high quality
images at a range of altitudes whilst working in complete silence. There’s a lot more

Our balloon doesn’t consume fossil fuels in flight making us a more environmentally friendly option than aircraft aerial photography.

Balloon Aerial Photography

Cloudhawk aerial photography bridges the gap between ground based photography and
traditional aircraft photography. We are able to capture the detail and picture quality
of a ground based photographer whilst giving the added interest of an aerial perspective.
We take photographs that stand out from the crowd.

Traditional aircraft photography gives an interesting aerial perspective but the images often
lack fine detail, there is also the added expense and of course the disruption of a noisy
aircraft. Mast/pole photography gives you a low altitude perspective which gives more
interest than a photo taken at ground level. Drawbacks being the masts are usually
attached to vehicles, so a photo can only be taken from where the vehicle can be driven.
The vehicle parks up, raises the mast and takes a photo from that position. If another
perspective is needed the mast has to be taken down, the vehicle moved and mast raised
again. Extra mast positions cost extra money. Changing position wastes a lot of time and
increases potential damage by the vehicle on lawns etc. Obviously the mast position is
very limited as is the mast altitude.

There are many advantages of our Cloudhawk aerial photography platform so we decided
to make a list;
  • The balloon is safe. It is filled with low pressure helium which is an
    inert harmless gas.
  • Operation is safe to clients/onlookers in the vicinity.
  • Environmentally friendly, there are no fossil fuels consumed while the
    balloon is in flight.
  • High resolution photographs (12.2 mega pixels) and HD video
    (1280 x 720 pixels) capable camera.
  • Cost effective.
  • Operation of the balloon  is silent. This allows us to capture images
    discreetly with minimal disruption to the surrounding area.
  • Freedom of movement for altitude. Can go from 0 feet to 200ft in
    minutes. Can go higher than 200ft with Civil Aviation Authority clearance.
  • Freedom of movement on the ground. Wherever the operator can go on
    foot the balloon is able to go (taking trees & power lines into consideration).
  • The balloon can be operated over water, on a boat, jetty or pier.
  • The balloon is capable of flying in winds. 
  • No damage to lawns or the site.
  • Fast and efficient set up and pack up time.
  • Same day service available, dependant on weather and demand.
  • The balloon can be accurately positioned to capture images from different
    floor heights to show for high-rise developments before they are built.
